FSSAI registration.

Food License Registration.

FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) registration is a mandatory compliance for anyone involved in the food business, including manufacturing, processing, storage, distribution, and sale of food products. It ensures that food is safe for consumption and adheres to set quality standards. The FSSAI license is issued under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.

There are three types of FSSAI licenses: Basic Registration, State License, and Central License. The type depends on the size and nature of the business. Basic Registration is for small businesses with an annual turnover below ₹12 lakhs, while larger enterprises require a State or Central license.

The registration process involves submitting an online application on the FSSAI portal, uploading necessary documents, and paying the prescribed fee. Once approved, the business receives a 14-digit registration number that must be printed on all food packaging. This not only ensures transparency and consumer trust but also helps in legal compliance and smoother business operations.
